#PROJECTSMILE

#ProjectSmile is something small I started a while ago—nothing fancy or groundbreaking, just a little way for me to notice the world more carefully and hopefully make someone’s day a bit brighter.

For the past six months, I’ve been carrying around a digital camera and taking photos of things I feel are beautiful. Sometimes that’s a moment. Sometimes it’s a place. Most of the time, it’s a person—a friend, a stranger, or someone who’s helped me in ways big or small. Later, I print those photos and give them to the people in them. No explanation, no expectations… just a simple reminder of how I see them.

The goal is gentle. If a single photo helps someone feel seen, appreciated, or cared for—even just for a second—then it’s worth every step, every print, every quiet moment spent clicking a shutter. Thomas S. Monson once said, “How wonderful it is that we have the ability to brighten the lives of others.” This project is my small attempt at doing exactly that.

At the end of the day, #ProjectSmile is really just about kindness in its simplest form: capturing something good and giving it back.
